Mathry is situated on a hill just off the A487 between
St Davids and Fishguard, just 2 miles from the picturesque
harbour of Abercastle.
The parish church, behind the pub, is worth a visit.
It is part of the Saints
and Stones pilgrimage.
The coastal bus "Strumble Shuttle" passes through the
village 3 times a day between May and September, winter
times vary. This is an ideal way to see the north Pembrokeshire
coast line as they stop at most points of interest along
the path. Timetable
and map.
The beach of Abermawr is within walking distance of Mathry (2 ½ miles) and can be reached through the beautiful bluebell woods.
In May/June these woods are carpeted with bluebells and many other spring flowers.
