Mathry is situated on a hill just off the A487 between St Davids and Fishguard, just 2 miles from the picturesque harbour of Abercastle.

The parish church, behind the pub, is worth a visit. It is part of the Saints and Stones pilgrimage.

The coastal bus “Strumble Shuttle” passes through the village 3 times a day between May and September, winter times vary. This is an ideal way to see the north Pembrokeshire coastline as they stop at most points of interest along the path. Abermawr Bluebell Woods near Mathry, Fishguard and St Davids, Pembrokeshire

The beach of Abermawr is within walking distance of Mathry (2 ½ miles) and can be reached through the beautiful bluebell woods.

In May/June these woods are carpeted with bluebells and many other spring flowers.
